"ALURA" .... a little survivor !!

A gorgeous little stumpy tailed red cattle pup had a lucky escape today.  Sadly her Mum was surrendered to the pound with this little baby yesterday. If only people realised that the minute you sign a council surrender form for your pet, it can be euthanised immediately - staff do not have to keep it for even the usual 3 days.

Mum was put down this morning and little Alura was all alone in her cage at only 4 - 6 weeks of age. She was wailing and crying quite badly when I left the pound to get her payment organised but was very happy to be snuggled up in a blanket in my arms this afternoon after her release. A big "thank-you" to Sara and family for agreeing to foster this special little parcel. As you can see from the photos, she has two children who are happy to spoil her and she has already settled in.
