It's not the greatest feeling to be the only player who failed to get selection for the season... But that's the situation that Warriors is facing as he is left alone on the bench. He still holds on to the faint hope that he will be chosen as a last minute entry to a team he can call his own....

Warriors has patiently waited for his turn to come as he has watched his fellow team members get snapped up by coaches, not only locally but also nationally. Fifteen players were available and, one by one, they have found home teams to test them out so they can try their luck further afield. Eels, Panthers, Sea Eagles, Titans, Raiders, Roosters, Storm, Knights, Dragons, Rabbitohs, Tigers, Bulldogs, Cowboys and lastly Sharks have packed up their jerseys and socks and moved on.

Can Warriors score a last minute contract? He is a quieter and more placid player but has the determination to persevere and impress... this boy is a stayer.
