OPERATION DESEX - PHASE TWO

Paws Hoofs and Claws Inc. (PHC) received a generous donation of $150,000 from The Rotary Club of Mount Isa.  this is being used to fund our desexing program.


What is Operation Desex - Phase Two? 

This desexing program is aimed to help low income earners (under $60,000) and those in financial hardship desex their pets.  Our aim is to reduce the number of unwanted and homeless animals.

OPERATION DESEX - PHASE ONE

Paws Hoofs and Claws Inc. (PHC) were one of the successful recipients of $5,000 for Round 2 of Mount Isa City Council's 2021 Community Grants program to go towards Operation Desex - Phase One.  Phase One is also being funded by the generous donation of $150,000 received from The Rotary Club of Mount Isa.


What is Operation Desex - Phase One? 

Thanks to The Rotary Club of Mount Isa and Mount Isa City Council, PHC are able to work alongside CentacareNQ and North West Indigenous Catholic Social Services Limited (NWQICSS) to provide an animal education and desexing program for low income earners.  Our aim is to reduce the number of unwanted and homeless animals.  

 

Animal Education Program

As part of the desexing program, CentacareNQ and NWQICSS Case Workers will hold education sessions with their clients and assist them with applying to have their animals desexed, microchipped and council registered.
